The Free Research and Educational Equity Trust (Charitable) 50012761; NZBN 9429047723405 commenced their work in 28th August 2012 and further updated their purposes on the 3rd October 2019. The founding Trustees were inspired to begin the trust after receiving a donation for equity supporting research work they carried out. Founding Trustees were Graeme and Susan Stevenson

2025 FREE Trust Scholarships
The FREE Trust is pleased to announce for the first time ever its Professional Universal Wellbeing Scholarship programme. Global research shows that improving science-based wellbeing is the single factor most likely to improve health and equity in society; as a result of this finding the FREE Trust will provide up to 20 scholarships for professional Universal Wellbeing education in 2025.
Eligible Professional Universal Wellbeing Programmes in 2025
Certificate in Universal Wellbeing Evaluation Facilitation
(For researchers and professionals wanting to conduct evidence-based wellbeing evaluations as part of their research, clinical, and/or professional practice)

Applications for tuition scholarship to other programmes may be considered where there is evidence of hardship.

- a Programme Enrolment Form
- a Scholarship Application Letter

1. Applications are processed as received; early application is advised.
2. The FREE Trust reserves the right to award or not scholarships based on the quality of applications received in any calendar year.
3. The panel awarding the scholarships reserves the right to call, check out or otherwise verify information supplied in the Programme Enrolment Form and Scholarship Application Letter.
Application Guidelines
Scholarship Application Letter must include applicants:
Name, Address, Email and Telephone Number
Applicants must write a less than 2 page letter responding to the following questions:
1. What is your background?
2. What is your wellbeing related goal(s)?
3. Why are you applying for this scholarship?
4. How do you intend to use the capabilities you will acquire?
5. How will you measure the value and impact of your wellbeing practice?
6. Does your community/work/study place support your application and if so how?
7. Hardship evidence if applying on this ground.

b. Opportunities to implement learning acquired
c. Other, explain
Include a statement of support from your community/work/study place if appropriate.
Purposes
The central purpose and role of “FREE Research and Educational Equity Trust” is to support, promote and implement Universal Declaration of Human Rights detailed by the United Nations on the 10th of December 1948 and any subsequent updates through charitable research and educational equity activities. The Trust will acquire and manage funding to support research and educational equity for the reasons above.
Activities of the Trust will conduct include:
Activities that may be engaged in by the FREE TRUST are open ended but must align with its purposes.
Educational activities that support universal human rights and equity
Research that supports universal human rights and equity
Conferences and other events that support human rights and equity
Sponsorships and scholarships that support equity and human rights
Fund raising that supports our purposes
